Free Health Check-Up Camp Conducted at Kamalanagar to Promote Preventive Healthcare

A free health check-up camp was recently conducted at Kamalanagar with the objective of improving access to basic medical screening and promoting awareness about preventive healthcare among the local community.

The camp witnessed active participation from residents across different age groups. Medical consultations and basic health evaluations were provided, with particular focus on common health concerns such as blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar screening, and general medical assessment.

Elderly individuals and economically disadvantaged residents especially benefited from the initiative.

The camp was led by Dr. Sachin Patil, Consultant Physician and Diabetologist, as part of ongoing efforts to encourage early detection of common and lifestyle-related medical conditions. Residents from surrounding areas participated actively, including elderly individuals and patients with long-standing health concerns

Preventive screening plays a critical role in reducing long-term complications and improving health outcomes when medical issues are identified early.

During the camp, patients were counselled on the importance of regular health check-ups, medication adherence where applicable, and lifestyle modifications related to diet, physical activity, and stress management. Individuals requiring further evaluation were advised appropriate follow-up at medical facilities.

The initiative received local attention and was also covered by regional media, reflecting the importance of community-based healthcare programs in strengthening public health awareness. Such outreach activities help bridge the gap between medical services and underserved populations, especially in semi-urban and rural areas.

Community outreach programs like this form an essential extension of clinical care, bridging the gap between hospitals and the public. Vijayshree Healthcare, Bidar, under the medical leadership of Dr. Sachin Patil, continues to support preventive healthcare awareness through regular screening activities and patient education initiatives.
