BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS) & CPR TRAINING SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTED

A comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training session was successfully conducted by Dr. Sachin Patil, MBBS, MD, Consultant Physician & ICU Intensivist, for the nursing staff at Shubham Neuro Hospital, Bidar.


This training initiative aimed at strengthening emergency response capabilities and equipping healthcare professionals with critical life-saving skills.
During the session, Dr. Sachin Patil provided in-depth practical and theoretical guidance on handling medical emergencies such as cardiac arrest and respiratory failure.

The training covered essential BLS protocols including the CAB approach (Circulation, Airway, Breathing), early recognition of cardiac arrest, and the importance of immediate CPR in improving survival rates. It was emphasized that timely and effective intervention can significantly increase the chances of survival, with early CPR playing a crucial role in sustaining life until advanced care is available .

The nursing staff actively participated in hands-on demonstrations, learning the correct techniques of chest compressions, airway management, and rescue breathing. Key focus was given to delivering high-quality CPR with the recommended compression rate and depth, along with the proper use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs). The session also highlighted the chain of survival and the importance of teamwork during emergency situations.
